Detach
clicker if it’s attached (it messes with the clock).
Turn
ON (switch is on right side) – the screen will start with “not for sale...”, etc.
“Do you want to start where last time left off?” –

Put in model # (labeled on the top of the unit)

Set Time for 4 min warm-up (see how below)
Ref
will tell you when to start pre-game clock (whistle, hand signal, etc)
Hit the horn once so skaters know
clock is starting THEN turn clock on
Start/stop
clock button on top left: start is up;
stop is down
Our
league stops clock every time whistle blows, unless told otherwise by ref
Always
push stop clock button when horn goes off at end of period or horn will continue
to sound.

Setting Clock:
** 4:00 for Warm-Up; 15:00 for
Periods; 1:00 between Periods; if you go into OT, ref will tell you for how long
usually 5:00).

Push TIME (punch in time – e.g. 4:00, including the
colon)

Punch in Period # (1, 2, or 3)
Setting Goals:

Make
sure you count shot – rebound – shot – goal as 2 shots plus a goal.
Give
one completed scoresheet to each captain if they come for them (pink/yellow
copies). Mail original copy (white) with rosters in the
preaddressed/stamped envelope ASAP.
Write your address on back of your white copy if NCWHL doesn’t have it (usually
your first scorekeeping gig) so you can be paid.
Notes:
-
In
OT, usually they do a 5:00 running clock (no stoppages). However, sometimes the
refs ask for a running clock for the first 4 minutes, then go to a normal clock
(stopping the clock at every whistle) for the last minute
